Join Natasha Clarke for a series of playing and messing around with herbs! It wasn't so long ago that herbs would make up a part of our daily diet and were included in our traditional recipes intended to be tasty and eaten! Herbs can improve health in all kinds of ways and there is nothing better than knowing how to pick, process and enjoy the herbs that grow all around us.
We will gather together in these hands on classes, exploring some fantastic and fun recipes using local herbs, with something for all of us to take home to share and enjoy.
We start the series in October with Fire Cider, a traditional remedy using common nourishing herbs to boost our immunity against winter colds and flu. In November we will learn how to make a Bone Broth and a Chai, both wonderful ways of utilizing hard to process yet wonderfully beneficial herbs such as reishi, seaweed and turmeric. We wrap up (literally) in December by learning how to make herbal chocolates, just in time for Christmas, featuring a soft centered honey rose chocolate that celebrates all the love with the divine rose.
As well as learning how to make the above recipes we will also be discussing the medicinal benefits and uses of herbs with Natasha's 10 years of being a practicing herbalist and wild-crafter.
All classes are donation based however there will be a minimum $10 materials fee as you will all get to take home a sample of the herbal goodies we make together.
